Due to circumstances we will not have a live blog this week from the SMN/Leav game. We will still have live scoring updates from around the league including the SMN game. This week we will be live from the Lawrence/Lawrence Free State game.
SM North (2-6) @ Leavenworth (1-7)
Kurt-(SMN) The Indians make the playoffs as their defense shuts down the Pioneers and the Theis-Perez show continues to score big.
Adam-(SMN) North hasn't played well this season, but a big win last week may have finally given the Indians the momentum they needed. North will need a huge night by Mason Perez (pictured left) to be able to punch their ticket to the playoffs. I'll pick North in a very close game.
SM East (4-4) @ SM South (2-6)
Kurt- (SME) Dakota Collins leads the Lancers past South for his first win since being injured.
Adam- (SME) I think this one will come down to the wire. The Lancers haven't lived up to the hype this season, but Collins and Faerber should be able to pull this one out.
Olathe North ( 5-3) @ Olathe Northwest (4-4)
Kurt- (ONW) Ravens offense outscore Olathe North in high scoring contest.
Adam- (OLN) Olathe Northwest only have one victory in school history over Olathe North in 2006, don't look for another one here as the Eagles will be motivated after three straight losses.
BV North (0-8) @ SM West (5-3)
Kurt- (SMW) The Vikings put it on cruise control to win against a struggling BVN .
Adam- (SMW) I've learned my lesson the past two weeks in not picking the Vikings. Possible trap game for West, but I think they win big in this one.
SM Northwest (3-5) @ Wyandotte (2-6)
Kurt- (SMNW) SMNW wins big as the Bulldogs lose 5 straight.
Adam- (SMNW) Northwest played two very close games to start the district, some relief this week as they win big at Wyandotte.
Lawrence (5-3) @ Lawrence Free State (6-2)
Kurt- (LFS) Lawrence's recent QB injuries and Free States emerging defense earn the Firebirds the City Showdown title.
Adam- (LFS) The Firebirds lead the series (8-6) in the "City Showdown", and have won the last five meetings between the schools. I think this year will continue to be a Free State dominance of the City as the Lions will be missing Strauss. Look for Kyle McFarland and Shawn Knighton to have big nights as the Firebirds roll and win Districts.
Game of the Week
Olathe East (7-1) @ Olathe South (7-1)
Kurt- (OLE) Olathe Easts running game keeps O Souths offense off the field and goes 3-0 in districts.
Adam- (OLS) Falcons pull of the upset and find themselves hoping for a BV West victory/ or enough points to make the playoffs.
Kurt- Last Week (6-2) Season- (38-14)
Adam- Last Week (5-3) Season- (41-11)
