Week four picks

Last Week (6-0)   Season (14-4)

Game of the week
Thursday 9/20
Olathe South @ SM East- SM North High
Possibly the game of the year as the only two teams remaining perfect meet up in week four.  Olathe South has knocked East out of the playoffs two years running.  East is coming in with some serious confidence as Jordan Darling hasn't had a problem picking apart Sunflower League defenses thus far.  I think this game will come down to turnovers.  Whoever wins the turnover battle in my mind will win this game and sit 4-0.  Adams Pick: Olathe South

Friday 9/21
Lawrence @ SM North- SM North High
The Lions are back on track and face off with a poor SMN squad in a game that shouldn't be very close.  Brad Strauss and Erik Mayo should be too much for the Indians to keep up with.
Adams Pick: Lawrence

SM Northwest @ SM South- SM South High
If the Cougars can shut down Gabe Guild this could be a close ball game.  So far SMNW rush defense has done pretty well in the league, but the Cougars are only averaging 15pts a game while South averages 24.
Adams Pick: SM South

Leavenworth @ Olathe Northwest- CBAC
This game is the most interesting in my opinion.  Olathe Northwest should be able to throw with ease against Leavenworth, and LV will want to run the ball the entire night.  Like the OLS/SME game I think this one will come down to the turnover battle.
Adams Pick: Leavenworth

Olathe North @ Lawrence Free State- Free State High
Free State was a touchdown away from stunning the defending State Champs last week, and look for the Firebirds to be hungry for a win this week.  Standing in their way is Olathe North who sits at 0-3.  I don't think Venus Triplett will be able to put up enough points for the Eagles to stay in this one, look for Kyle McFarland and Free State to roll.
Adams Pick: Lawrence Free State

SM West @ Olathe East- ODAC
Both teams so far this season have been led by their defenses and running backs.  This game should be close but don't look for Hayden Frazier or Brett Sterbach to run wild against either of these defenses.  Look for a low scoring tight game in this one.
Adams Pick: SM West
