District Breakdown

District 1-

SM Northwest: District Champs. Cougars still have to travel to Wyandotte this week, but the Bulldogs shouldn't be a problem and NW should enter the playoffs at (4-5)

SM North: Beat Leavenworth and you make the playoffs, it's that simple for the Indians.

Leavenworth: Beat SM North and make the playoffs for the first time since I believe the 1990's.

Wyandotte: Try to gain some type of momentum for next season, Bulldogs have no shot at the playoffs this season.

District 2-

SM West: District Champs. Never doubt the Vikings is something we've all learned the past two weeks. West looks like a team that could make a run in this years playoffs.

SM East: The Lancers have fallen apart this season, but can still make the playoffs with a win over SM South.

SM Sout: If the Raiders beat SM East, SM West will be well represented in the playoffs not only by their own team, but SMS Head Coach Ryan Lonergan.

BV North: Mustangs still searching for their first win of the season. Not likely going to get a victory next week against SMW.

District 3-

Olathe East: So far the Hawks have managed a (2-0) record in District play, but a week nine game against rival Olathe South for a Sunflower League Championship and playoff spot could spoil OE's hopes of a title.

BV Northwest: The Huskies shocked Olathe South last week, and kept up with Olathe East in the first half this week. Look for BVNW to cause a problem in the East bracket of the playoffs this season.

Olathe South: Falcons still have a shot at the playoffs with a win against Olathe East. If Olathe South doesn't make the playoffs, they could be one of the most talented teams ever to miss out on post season action.

BV West: Tough district for the Jaguars, no chance at a playoff run this year but they can still pull a big upset over BVNW.

District 4

Lawrence Free State: The Firebirds continue to find a way to win, a (2-0) district record up to this point with the biggest game of the season still to come this week against Lawrence for the City Showdown.

Lawrence: Lawrence would need a win at Free State and an Olathe NW loss or a close loss to Free State and an Olathe North win over NW which would come down to district points to make the playoffs.

Olathe Northwest: If the Ravens can find a way to somehow beat Olathe North, they would most likely head to the playoffs for the third time in school history.

Olathe North: I dont think anyone expected the Eagles to be (0-2) in district play. North can still make the playoffs with a Free State win over Lawrence, and North would have to beat Northwest.
